Here's what we can treat at a same-day emergency visit:
Call us at (937) 748-4700 first so we can have a room ready. While you're on your way from Franklin or Carlisle:
Rinse with warm salt water and gently floss to clear anything stuck between teeth. An over-the-counter pain reliever and a cold compress on the cheek can take the edge off. Don't put aspirin directly on the gum; it can burn the tissue.
Time matters most: try to be seen within 60 minutes. Hold the tooth by the crown (the part you chew with), never the root, and rinse it briefly with water without scrubbing. If you can, gently push it back into the socket and bite on gauze to hold it. If not, keep it in a cup of milk or saliva and come straight in. If it's a child's baby tooth, don't put it back; call us so we can check the area.
Save any pieces, rinse your mouth, and press clean gauze on any bleeding. Chew on the other side until we can see you.
Keep the crown and bring it with you; it can often be re-cemented. Cover sharp edges with pharmacy dental wax or sugar-free gum to protect your tongue and cheek.
A pimple-like bump on the gum, throbbing pain, or swelling in the jaw usually means infection. Call us the same day.
Go to the nearest hospital emergency room or call 911 if you have facial swelling that is spreading toward your eye or neck, trouble breathing or swallowing, a high fever with a tooth infection, or a jaw injury from an accident. For toothaches, broken teeth, lost crowns and most infections, a same-day dental visit is the faster fix.

No. New patients are welcome for emergency visits. Bring your insurance card and a photo ID if you have them.
Our office is open Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Outside those hours, call or text us and we'll get back to you as soon as the office opens. If you have facial swelling that is spreading, trouble breathing or swallowing, a high fever, or a jaw injury, go to the nearest hospital emergency room or call 911 right away.
